Button Bay, VT (WBSP): Just a few days after shattering Carson Bigbee's recently-set hitting streak, Charlie Jamieson extended his new record today to 35 games, his sole hit coming in the 6th. But the Benedicts took the day, defeating Hoboken 7-3 in a solid effort by Jesse Barnes, who improved to 12-4 with a 3.48 ERA. Rogers Hornsby led the Benedicts offense, batting 2-4 with a homerun, 3 RBIs, and 2 runs scored. With the win, Button Bays sits 2.5 games up in the Knickerbocker League, with 3 other teams tied for 2nd place and hot on their heels. 「boxscore」

Topeka, KS (WBSP): Fans in Topeka got a treat today, and not just 4 free innings of extra baesball! Chick Galloway setting a new single game hits record that may never be beat, going 7 for 7, including the walkoff single in the 13th inning to edge Hoboken 5-4. 「boxscore」

Arlington, TX (WBSP): In a Doubleday League showdown, the Alto Wild Mustangs swept Texas today, surging to 2nd place. The 5-3 win came on the back of a solid complete game performance by Sad Sam Jones, allowing 3 runs, 2 earned. Alto is a favorite to go far this season, with the best pitching in the WBS and 3rd best offense. 「boxscore」

Austin, TX (WBSP): Austin's Dolf Luque struck out 12 batters today, tying the WBS single game record also held by Macon's Howard Ehmke; however Ehmke needed extra innings to accomplish the same feat back in 1920. Despite the performance, Luque got little help from the Aces' offense, losing 4-1 to Topeka and falling to 7-2 on the season. But Austin still sits atop the Knickerbocker League, a game and a half ahead of reigning champs Button Bay. 「boxscore」

Bowling Green, KY (WBSP): The Barons routed Topeka today, 13-5, with a monster performance by Harry Heilmann. Heilmann went deep in the first with a 3-run blast, and Bowling Green never looked back. Heilmann finished with 3 homeruns, 7 RBIs, and 4 runs scored. Reliver Harry Shriver picked up the win, and Moosedog rookie Dazzy Vance took the loss. 「boxscore」

Topeka, KS (WBSP): Moosedogs fans enjoyed a gem from Eddie Rommel today! Rommel pitched a 1-hit shutout against the best offense in the WBS, shutting down Wendigo bats in a 4-0 win. Rommel even helped with the offense, picking up an RBI single in the 6th inning. Rommel improved to 5-4 with a 2.99 ERA. 「boxscore」

Boston, MA (WBSP): The Kings kept their hold on first place today, led by Whitey Witt who batted for the cycle and improved his average to .402. Kinnaird Street outpaced Texas 13-8, wearing Stan Covelski out early; Covelski gave up 7 before being yanked in the 4th. Despite a nearly equally pitiful start, Frank Cadore snuck away with the win, his first on the season, seeing his ERA increase to 7.94. 「boxscore」

Button Bay, VT (WBSP): Rogers Hornsby crushed 3 homeruns today, joining Babe Ruth and Stuffy McInnis as the only other 2 players to perform this feat in WBS history. But even that was not enough to overcome the Barons, as Bowling Green came away with the 13-10 victory. The Barons piled up 10 runs late, Frankie Frisch, Pie Traynor, and Harry Heilmann each collecting 3 hits on the day and accounting for about half of the Barons' run production. 「boxscore」

Boston's offense tallied 7 runs, fueled by Zach Wheat's 3-run homer. Alto, NM (WBSP): Alto cruised today in a solid win over the Middlebury Moundsmen, led by Jeff Pfeffer notching his first win in a 6-hit shutout, and Pat Duncan who came within a base hit of the cycle. Duncan's leadoff blast was all Alto needed, but he bookended his day with a triple in the 7th. Duncan also scored 3 of Alto's 6 runs. Pfeffer improved to 1-2 with a 2.52 ERA. 「boxscore」

Austin, TX (WBSP): The Boston Colonials are off to a hot start, 5-1 in their first 6 games, their offense led by four of the best players in the Knickerbocker League: veterans Ty Cobb and Zach Wheat, and young stars George Kelly and Joe Sewell. Today the Colonials outpaced Austin, winning 8-4 and fueled by a 5-run 8th. Cobb led the game off with a homerun, and Kelly added a 3-run shot in the 8th inning. Cobb, Sewell, and Kelly combined for 6 hits, 5 RBIs, and 5 runs. Reliever Larry Duff pocketed the win for Boston. 「boxscore」

Middlebury, VT (WBSP): The Middlebury Moundsmen selected outfielder Goose Goslin in the first overall pick of the 1922 Draft today, a 21 year old young man from Salen, NJ. Goslin brings a hopeful bat to the lineup, joining Cliff Lee and Bobby Veach in what should be a solid outfield in the 1922 season.
